Need to calculate your zakat? Use our simple Zakat Calculator.
Zakat is a form of alms-giving and a religious obligation. It is a non-charitable contribution based on your income and the value of your possessions. Once your total savings have reached above the minimum threshold (known as the nisaab) only then Zakat becomes payable. The amount of Zakat to be paid is set at 2.5% and only applies to cash, gold, silver, and commercial items. There are other rates for farming and mining produce.
We operate a 100% zakat donation policy. This means every penny of your Zakat will go towards charitable causes.
